My name is Manuel Lopez and I am an Assistant Professor at New College of Florida. I am a scholar of Buddhism with a particular regional focus on Tibet and the Himalayas (Tibet, Nepal, Bhutan). I teach courses on Buddhism, Tibetan Buddhism, Buddhist Contemplative Systems, Hinduism, Asian Religions, and Asian Religions and Politics. I am also really interested in the intersection of religion and popular culture, and that is why I created this blog, to write about and explore how religion is depicted and discussed in popular media.
